On June 14, the Sinergia Day
Habilitation program hosted its much anticipated 8th Annual Dinner Dance.
Approximately 65 participants from the Day Habilitation, Residential
Habilitation, and Family Care programs were in attendance at the Lincoln Square
Neighborhood Center on West 65th Street. They kicked the
evening off with some dancing before sitting down to a lovely Italian
meal. Several individuals strutted their stuff in a fashion show, showing
off their best attire. Jay Castro impressed the audience with a piano and
vocal solo. He performed “Ribbon In The Sky” by Stevie Wonder.
Emmanuel Smith got everyone’s attention when he sang “You’ll Never Find” by Lou
Rawls and Trish Brown hit the high notes with “Stay” by Rihanna. Terri
Brown recited her own original poem entitled “Sinergia You.” Everyone had
a ball dancing all night and posing for pictures at the photo booth.
Thank you to all of the staff who made this event possible!
